Because our pricing is reflective to our commitment, because we have generations of experience in animal breeding, and most importantly, because we’re a dog family. We encourage you to compare us against other breeders — we promise that we’ll come out on top every time.
Our pricing is one of many areas where we place a lot of thought. Pricing is dependent on one of two things: size and coat. We have to admit our schnauzers are not the least expensive out there. Purchasing one of our beautiful puppies means more than buying a dog that is intelligent, personable, hypo-allergenic, confident, and compact.
The nature of our breeding program originates from several generations of experience with breeding horses, cows, and our other farm animals. We have used techniques that are commonplace in our other animals that allow our schnauzers to have stronger bodies to provide many years of family enjoyment.
Our breeding females will be larger than our breeding males to provide whelping-ease which reduces the need for veterinarian-assisted births; any schnauzers, male or female, who demonstrates genetic weakness or chronic problems are NOT bred so they will not reproduce those undesirable traits in their offspring. This means that we have taken great care to provide you with the best four-legged companion money can buy. We are distinguishing ourselves from other dog breeders by implementing these and other responsible practices into our program.

Our dogs must first pass our personality, body structure, hair coat, and trainability standard. We raise the majority of our breeding adults from puppies so we have a clear understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses. The last test our adults go through before breeding them is their OFFA testing; this ensures our offspring inherit good health and longevity. (http://www.caninehealthinfo.org/brdreqs.html?breed=MSC)
We do crate training, dog door training, socialization, and early neurological stimulation to make sure your puppy comes home ready to fit any type of household.
We do not breed dogs that are not excellent pets and great with kids: We are not about numbers, we are dedicated to improving the lives of the families that take one of our dogs as a pet. We know each of our dogs individually, which is the best way for us to combine matings that will bring out the best in both parents.
We do not breed dogs that can’t have puppies on their own: C-sections and problems birthing are genetic; if a female has a problem giving birth we don’t breed her again or keep anything in her litter to breed. It is not fair to her!
The minimum age is 8 weeks, but if you are buying one of our smaller babies they may need to stay with us until 12 or 16 weeks.
As our puppies get older, they will each be crate-trained, dog door trained and house-broken. If you are waiting to show your interest in one of our puppies, you need to remember that once we start the obedience and house training process, the price will go up because of more time spent on each puppy. If price is an element of decision for you, it is better to speak up early if you have interest in owning one of our beautiful schnauzers.

We only sell healthy dogs, each puppy undergoes an extensive vet review and you receive the original form for your records. In order to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your dog, you have 3 days from delivery to get them examined by a vet. If any issues are found within that timeframe, we will provide you with a full refund or replacement puppy at Lucky 7’s discretion.
Schnauzers do not shed and are considered to be hypoallergenic, making them a good choice for people with allergies or asthma. Every person will have his or her own degree of reactivity to certain dogs — their saliva and proteins in their bodies. Those dogs that are more universally less allergenic come from more specific breeds such as Poodles, Kerry Blue Terriers, Schnauzers, Bichons and Lhasa Apsos. They don’t shed a lot or they go to the groomer frequently and by getting their hair washed and trimmed, get the allergens off their skin. Click here to learn more about hypoallergenic dogs.
Hypoglycemia can be very serious in puppies and young dogs. It’s extremely important for you to be educated in both how to prevent against it and how to help dogs who are suffering from it. Click here to learn more about hypoglycemia.
